A Celebration of Japanese Culture

 

Date: Sunday, May 17 at 2:00-4:30 PM

Place: Missouri History Museum, Forest Park

AT & T Foundation Multipurpose Room

Free admission

 

The event will exhibit Japanese dolls and feature tea Ceremony, flower, and kimono Demonstrations and Children’s Storytelling . Light refreshments will be served.

2:00 pm   Welcome

2:10 pm   Ikebana demonstration (Chikako Usui)

2:40 pm   Tea ceremony demonstration (Junko Ikeda)

3:20 pm    Storytelling (Richard Colignon)

3:40 PM   Introduction to Kimono (Alex Hegel and Kazue Ewing)

4:30 PM   Closing
