To kick off the new year, Animeggroll always likes to do a build competition that has a different flare than our regular competitions. As such, we are looking forward to having our first ever CLASS UP Build Competition!
Competitors will receive the Four Class Up option part sets from the “30 Minutes Fantasy” line and have 3 hours to build and customize their models. Modelers will be tasked with figuring out how to turn these option parts into a dynamic and interesting build! Competitors can bring in existing model(s) to customize, they can try to construct a complete build from just the given parts or find some other creative way to turn these blank canvases into a masterpiece!
Unlike most competitions, there will be no judges and the winners of this competition will be voted on by the competitors themselves. Builders are free to build the model however they like; some people incorporate the model into a diorama, some will do a custom build and paint the model and others will do the cleanest build that they can.
Rules:
Each competitor will be provided with a working space of 1.5 X 3 feet. Anything being used in the build must fit in that space at the start of the competition. No spray, aerosol, or air-brush painting is allowed. The Armor Option Parts sets provided must be assembled at the competition and should be the focal point of your finished display. Any diorama pieces or external kit pieces can be preassembled before the competition.
Starting at 2:00 PM, builders will have 3 full hours to work. No modifications can be made to a builder’s model after the 3 hours have elapsed. Once the 3 hours are up, builders will then have 5 minutes to stage their display. The staging process allows the builder to position their work and remove anything not part of their final display off their work area. Judges may factor anything remaining in the work space into their judgments.
After the competition is over, competitors own the build and are free to take it home.
A photographer might be taking pictures of the event and of the model kits. Please let us know ahead of time if you wish not to be photographed.
